About Dr Julian Varkkey

Dr Julian Varkkey graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 2011. He moved to Singapore to begin his medical career, where he received extensive training across various medical specialties and government institutions. In 2015, he left the government service to pursue his passion for aesthetic medicine.

Dr Julian realised early on that outward appearances were becoming increasingly important in our ever-changing world. With social media now an integral part of everyday life, people naturally compare their appearances with others, which can affect their mental health and quality of life. His passion for aesthetic medicine was ignited when he recognised he could make a difference by helping patients look their best — noticing how those who felt happy with their appearance carried more confidence and better mental wellbeing, which translated into better careers, relationships and family lives.

A holistic philosophy

He believes that looking our best should be approached holistically, where aesthetic treatments complement good nutrition, health and fitness, spiritual growth, considered skincare and ample sun protection. The aim is care that supports overall wellbeing — not a quick fix in isolation.

Committed to continued learning

Dr Julian is a firm believer in continued growth and education. More recently, he acquired his Postgraduate Diploma in Dermatology from Queen Mary University of London, graduating with distinction. He keeps his practice current with developments in aesthetic medicine, so the care he provides is considered and safety-led.

Outside the clinic, he enjoys exercising in the gym, reading, travelling and eating good food — and loves sharing and trading stories with his patients about his experiences.
