Why a soft filler.

A low-viscosity hyaluronic acid (HA) filler formulated to integrate into thin, delicate areas. A filler’s cohesivity, stiffness (G prime) and concentration decide where it belongs — and a soft, low-cohesive filler sits closer to the surface, where a denser product would look or feel unnatural.

That makes it suited to fine perioral and periocular lines, early nasolabial folds and superficial depressions in thin-skinned areas. Your doctor matches the filler type and injection plane to each area.

What to expect in a session.

After numbing cream, the filler is placed at the superficial dermal level with a very fine needle — precise placement is what keeps the result natural. The procedure takes about 20–30 minutes.

Mild redness usually settles within 24 hours and bruising is uncommon; most people return to their routine the same day. Results typically last six to nine months and can be dissolved if needed.

Soft HA Filler FAQ

Who is a soft HA filler suitable for?

Soft HA filler is suited to patients who have fine, superficial lines — particularly around the mouth (perioral lines), early nasolabial folds and fine lines around the eyes — that would not respond well to a denser filler. It is also appropriate for patients with thin skin where a heavier filler would create visible lumps or an overfilled appearance.

Is a soft HA filler the same as a lip filler?

Not exactly. While a soft HA filler can be used to smooth fine lines around the lips (perioral lines), lip augmentation — adding volume and definition to the lips — typically uses a slightly firmer filler that holds its shape in a high-movement area. Your doctor will select the appropriate product based on your specific concern and anatomy.

Will soft HA filler look natural?

Yes, when injected correctly into the superficial dermis in the right areas, soft HA filler produces a subtle, natural result — smoothing fine lines without adding bulk or altering the overall appearance of the face. Precise placement by an experienced doctor is key to a natural outcome.

How is soft HA filler different from a volumising filler?

Soft HA filler has a low G' prime (stiffness) and low cohesivity, making it suitable for superficial fine-line correction in delicate areas. A volumising HA filler is denser and stiffer — it provides structural support and volume in deeper tissue planes such as the cheeks and mid-face. Using the wrong product in the wrong area is a common cause of filler complications.

Is there downtime after soft HA filler?

Downtime is minimal. Mild redness at injection points typically settles within a few hours. Occasional bruising may occur but is uncommon. Most patients return to normal activities the same day. We advise avoiding vigorous exercise and excessive heat for 24 hours post-treatment.
