A polynucleotide tuned for scar tissue.

A polynucleotide (PN) injectable formulated for acne-scarred skin. Its PDRN molecules activate tissue-repair pathways and fibroblast activity inside the scar itself — gradually remodelling the disrupted collagen that creates pitting and surface irregularity.

Where the standard PN skin booster sits superficially to improve overall skin quality, this is placed deeper into the scar bed, where it softens fibrous tethering and rebuilds the collagen structure beneath rolling and boxcar depressions.

What to expect in a session.

Numbing cream goes on 20–30 minutes beforehand, then the solution is delivered by fine needles into the scar bed and surrounding dermis. A full face takes 30–45 minutes.

Small injection marks, mild redness and minor swelling are normal and usually settle within one to two days. Results are cumulative across a course.

How does the Acne Scar PN Booster work on scar tissue?

Polynucleotide (PN) molecules — specifically PDRN (polydeoxyribonucleotide) derived from highly purified salmon DNA — activate tissue repair signalling and stimulate fibroblast proliferation when injected into scar tissue. Over time, this promotes remodelling of the disrupted collagen architecture that causes pitted depressions, gradually improving scar depth and surface texture.

Is it suitable for all acne scar types?

The treatment may be most beneficial for rolling and shallow boxcar scars, where the scar bed is accessible to the injectable. Deep ice-pick scars may require combination treatment with fractional laser or RF microneedling for optimal results. Your doctor will assess your scar pattern and skin type during consultation and recommend the most appropriate approach.

How does it compare with laser or RF treatments for acne scars?

Laser and RF-based treatments primarily use energy to resurface the skin and stimulate collagen from above or within the dermis. PN injections deliver biologically active molecules directly into scar tissue to support cellular repair from within. Many patients benefit from a combination of both approaches — your doctor will advise based on your specific scar types and skin condition.

How many sessions will I need?

A course of four to six sessions spaced three to four weeks apart is typically recommended. Scar remodelling is a gradual process — improvements become more noticeable over several months as the skin rebuilds. Maintenance treatments may be recommended after the initial course.

What is the downtime after treatment?

Most patients experience minor redness, small injection marks, and mild swelling at treatment points for one to two days. Makeup can generally be applied the following day. Your doctor will provide specific aftercare guidance.

Can I combine this with other acne scar treatments?

Yes. PN acne scar treatment is commonly used as part of a multi-modality scar management plan. It can be combined with fractional RF microneedling, picosecond laser, or fractional RF skin resurfacing depending on your scar types and skin condition.
